Clackmannanshire Council Signs second contract with hubco

May 2013   Clackmannanshire Council has signed a £3.2 million contract for the refurbishment of the Speirs Centre in Alloa town centre. The redevelopment of the Speirs Centre will create a new modern library a local and family history centre, a visitors gateway for information regarding the heritage of Clackmannanshire, displays and exhibits, registration of births deaths and marriages, wi-fi and computers for public use, plus relaxation areas. Clackmannanshire Council Approves New School in Alloa

May 2013   Clackmannanshire Council has approved an £8.32 million contract for the design and build Redwell Primary School at Alloa West. The new school will be create a 21st century learning environment which will house pupils from St John’s and Claremont Primary Schools. Robertson, the infrastructure, support services and construction group, were selected as the main building contractor to deliver the project on behalf of hub East Central Scotland Limited. Burntisland School children laying strong foundations for their future

April 2013   The first foundation stone for the new £11.4M Burntisland Primary School has been laid with the help of some of the local school children. The ceremony was to mark the beginning of building work on the school and local pupils were invited along to see for themselves the first stone laid. The children also brought along a time capsule which they had filled with items which reflected their old school and the surrounding which will be of interest to future generations.
