CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON PERTH THEATRE RESTORATION

The restoration and redevelopment of Perth Theatre will get fully underway on Monday 21 March as the construction phase begins. Project contractors Robertson Construction Tayside will be on site to carry out enabling works, which will include stripping out existing buildings and preparing to demolish sections to make way for the new extension. WORK STARTS ON BALDRAGON ACADEMY IN DUNDEE

Work has started on the £28.7 million replacement school for Baldragon Academy in Dundee. The project is led by hub East Central Scotland in partnership with Dundee Council, Scottish Futures Trust and Robertson Tayside and will be ready for its first intake of pupils in early 2018. Dundee City Council leader Councillor Ken Guild and education convener Councillor Stewart Hunter, head teacher Kenny Hearn and Gary Bushnell, Chief Executive, hub East Central Scotland, joined pupils to celebrate the occasion.
