St Ninians Primary Officially Opened

Less than 18 months since the first sod was cut the new St Ninians Primary school has been officially opened. The school’s existing Victorian section has been retained and refurbished to provide a dedicated home for the nursery class, and a new two-storey building created to accommodate primary school pupils and staff. Now a wide, flexible ‘school street’ will allow break out from classrooms for small group learning while more flexible dining, social and PE spaces will provide better facilities for larger whole school events including assemblies and school shows. Perth Museum to Receive Multi-Million Pound Investment

Perth and Kinross Council will invest £10M in Perth Museum and Art Gallery, which will result in a major overhaul to the building and see the creation of a new collection store in the city. The revamp will deliver modern facilities on par with the National Museum of Scotland and other recent major refurbishments. CONSTRUCTION WORK STARTS ON NEW STIRLING CARE VILLAGE

Enthusiasm was evident in spades when key partners involved in the development of the new Stirling Care Village got together to cut the first sods to mark the start of construction. The innovative £35m development, which is being built in the grounds of Stirling Community Hospital, is a joint venture between Stirling Council, NHS Forth Valley and the Scottish Ambulance Service. Deputy First Minister visits construction site of two new PKC primaries

        Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education John Swinney MSP visited the sites of two new Perth & Kinross Council primary schools today to see the progress being made and meet pupils, staff and the construction team. Mr Swinney visited Kinross and Tulloch Primary Schools, which are part of a 55 million pound programme jointly funded by the local authority and the Scottish Government in Perth and Kinross and also includes a new secondary school at Bertha Park in Perth. New Primary School and Nursery in Cowie Officially Opened

Pupils and staff at the new St Margaret’s Primary School and Cowie Nursery took part in a special opening ceremony on Friday 13th January to celebrate the new facilities. The project was managed and delivered for Stirling Council by hub East Central Scotland and Robertson Construction began building work in July 2015. The school welcomed its first pupils in August 2016, in time for the new academic term.
