WORK STARTS SOON ON CARRONGRANGE SCHOOL

New ASN Secondary Construction work on a brand new secondary school for young people with additional support needs in Falkirk is due to start soon. The Education Executive at Falkirk Council has approved the final proposals for the new £17.5 million Carrongrange School, which will accommodate 190 pupils. The project is being led by hub East Central Scotland in partnership with Falkirk Council, Scottish Futures Trust and Ogilvie Construction and is due for completion in August 2017. Gary Bushnell, Chief Executive, hub East Central Scotland, said:   “Our team has worked closely with Falkirk Council to progress these plans and we look forward to delivering a high quality learning environment that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of pupils and staff.” Robert Naylor, Director of Children’s Services, Falkirk Council, said:   The new school will provide pupils with a welcoming and flexible learning environment across tow floors and will include modern specialist classroom equipment and facilities to meet the needs of pupils.”
