Historic Speirs Centre opens doors to public after decades

A Victorian ‘Scottish Renaissance’ style architectural building has been restored to its historic former glory and by hub East Central Scotland.  The building, originally, public baths (including Turkish and Russian baths) were designed by Glasgow Architects John Burnet & Son and the development was underwritten as a gift to the town by local businessman John Thomson Paton.  This project, which originally opened to the public on 29th April 1898 has remained largely closed since the 1960s due to general disuse and a major fire incident.   The refurbished iconic and important historic and cultural building now proudly opens its doors…

Social Housing Development handed over to Clackmannanshire Council

hubco have now completed an important social housing project for Clackmannanshire Council.  Contractor Marshall Construction completed a very modern looking 26 flats that will provide the Council a valuable alternative to accommodating social housing clients in expensive Bed & Breakfasts that can be as unsuitable as they are expensive and inconvenient.  The new facility will also have a dedicated housing assessment centre, emergency accommodation and 24 hour security services. Striking new schools open to pupils in Burntisland and Alloa

The first new primary schools which have been delivered by hub East Central have opened to pupils in Burntisland and Alloa, with both schools demonstrating high standards of curriculum related design suited to modern teaching methods, standards and education strategies.  The impressive schools provide accommodation for a total of 1340 pupils in primary and nursery streams when school terms reopened in September 2014.
