The project was led by hub East Central Scotland and delivered on time and budget in June 2015. Holmes Miller architects designed the school and BAM Construction undertook the building works. It is the first of two schools, including Oakbank Primary School in Perth, to be successfully completed in Perthshire. Pupils and staff moved into the new school in August 2015. The primary and nursery facilities, close to the Strathearn Community Campus, also include a gymnasium, sports pitches and a multi use games area and playground. Councillor Ian Miller, Leader of Perth & Kinross Council, unveiled a plaque to mark the official opening. He said: “The enhanced facilities for learning and teaching in the new Crieff Primary School will make a real difference to the school community, who I am sure will greatly benefit from the new and improved range of provision.’ Gary Bushnell, Chief Executive, Hub East Central Scotland, said: “We have created a high quality school that is purpose built to provide a modern learning environment. It is part of a significant education initiative that has successfully delivered two new schools in the region and we worked closely with Perth & Kinross Council throughout the project, from initial design to completion.”
