New 3G Pitch at Newtown Park, Bo’ness for Newtown Park Association

Representatives from Falkirk Council, Sport Scotland and Newton Park Association gathered at Newtown Park, Bo’ness to celebrate the completion of a project to replace the old surface with a new 3G synthetic pitch.

The upgrade to the football pitch at Newton Park was procured and managed by hub East Central Scotland for Falkirk Council, acting on behalf of Newton Park Association. It also includes new goals, floodlights, dugouts and visitor changing facilities.

The new surface meets SportScotland and Scottish Football Association standards and the project was part funded by SportScotland through its Sports Facilities Fund.

Wayne Sutherland, Project Manager, hub East Central Scotland said:

“We worked closely with all parties involved in the project to ensure that the new pitch and facilities meet all the necessary standards. Newtown Park Association, Bo’ness United and the local community can now enjoy an excellent sports ground built to meet their long-term needs.”
