New Care Home Kirkcaldy Care Home Completed

hub East Central Scotland has completed the £5 million Ostler’s Way Care Home, which forms and integral part of a larger care village of 20 homes in Kirkcaldy. The building is a two-storey structure accommodating 60 people, made up of five individual living units of 12 bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities. The care home and day care facilities have been specially designed with surfaces that reduce glare and visual confusion and the décor takes into account residents with visual impairments and dementia. Large open spaces make use of natural light and easily accessible secure garden areas have been designed specifically for dementia patients and provide vital outdoor space for residents. Gary Bushnell, Chief Executive, hub East Central Scotland, said: “Our team worked closely with Fife Council from the outset of this project to ensure that it met all of the needs of the community. We have delivered a high quality facility which has been specifically designed to provide the best possible environment for its vulnerable residents.”
