Jayne Maclennan Appointed Chair

Jayne MacLennan has been appointed as the new Chair of hub East Central Scotland.

Jayne brings extensive board-level and executive experience from across the property, infrastructure, and construction sectors. A Chartered Surveyor by profession, she has held senior leadership positions including Executive Director roles within FTSE 300 companies, where she led complex international property portfolios across the UK, North America, and Europe.

Her broad experience includes acquisitions, disposals, and major public and private capital projects, with a strong focus on sustainable development and effective asset management.

Jayne currently combines her non-executive portfolio with strategic advisory, dispute resolution, and executive coaching roles, supporting organisations and individuals to achieve their goals. She has served on the boards of a wide range of organisations including The Royal Air Force, LocatED, the National Trust for Scotland, the Port of Aberdeen, and Glasgow Prestwick Airport. She has also chaired the Lionheart Benevolent Fund and served as a Trustee for SAMH and Step Change.

Jayne takes over the role from John Brown who resigned to focus on his charitable commitments.

hub East Central’s projects consistently deliver significant social value, with over 50% of contracts awarded to Scottish SMEs and a focus on local employment and skills development through apprenticeships on every project. It has successfully delivered over £730 million of facilities that are now open and serving communities, with a further £192 million currently under construction and another £321 million in development.
