The new centre delivers much needed primary and community health services for the Central and West Glenrothes area as well as additional Glenrothes-wide services.
Napier Road practice, built in 1973, which had become unsuitable for it’s purpose.
Accommodating the provision of so many different services, the centre had to be both flexible and specific enough to accommodate the needs of each of them. The purpose built treatment rooms and specialist consulting rooms, along with modern administration and staff facilities, will allow Glenwood Health Centre to become the perfect central hub for medical services in the area.
The new centre provides space for a wide range of health services, including:
- Two general practices totalling nine GPs and practice teams
- Teaching of undergraduate medical students
- Nurse practitioner services
- Health visitors
- Antenatal and baby clinic
